Art & Sustainability

Art & Sustainability in Näsåker

In Näsåker in northern Sweden,  you will encounter  fascinating nature and social history.  This is the location of  The Nordic Centre for Art & Sustainability.

The Nordic Center represents the idea of bringing together personal creativity and sustainable development. It is the linking of art to a connection to the enviroment at the individual level.

From the summer of 2010 we offer holidaycourses and workshops in pottery and other craft/arts in combination with exploring  what a sustainable, individual lifestyle might look like, and how it can be shaped for each participant.

What distinguishes us, apart from the good food and many fun/ inspiring moments with other people, is the unique combination of hands on creativity and an active learning about sustainability on a individual level. That will give you new valuable skills and experiences for your own creativity and how to relate them to your own enviromental  development.

Our guests will get an experience of a lifetime. Personal tutoring is fundamental in our  philospophy and the size of all our groups will always be limited in order to maintain a high standard experience. We have a  wonderful natural setting, surrounded by rivers, forests and lakes in a unspoiled part of Sweden. People have been closley connected to nature here for centuries. Our farm has been recorded as active since 1535. And Näsåker is the location of some of Europe’s oldest rock-carvings from 5000 years ago.

Our courses include local nature and archeological tours as well as personal tutoring in our fully equipped studio & workshop.

With excellent local organic food and beverages you are guarnteed a fun, relaxing stay with time to refresh and reflect.
